Experiencing Orlando as an introvert

Let your social battery rest while still having fun around the city.

We hope you fellow introverts are so in for this guide.

Calling our quieter Central Floridians — let us help you meet the community where you’re at. Here are eight fun activities for introverts in Orlando that you can do without exhausting your social battery.

Meet introverts like you

We know escaping to new worlds via a book can be better than going to the bars — try out the Orlando chapter of Silent Book Club. This monthly meetup offers a chance for you to bring a current read + opt in to socializing as you please.

Let us also introduce you to Orlando Introverts — a local group that knows what it’s like to be the quiet one. Head to one of the low-pressure hangs, like a bowling and beer social on Thursday, June 19.

Act natural

With 3.6 miles of walking trails, the Tibet-Butler Nature Preserve is a great way to enjoy nature one-on-one. Don’t miss the butterfly garden.

Nearby Winter Park’s Mead Botanical Garden also offers a 48-acre oasis where you can take in the greenery + gardens or attend a lowkey event like Breathe with the Trees.

Recharge through wellness

Keep your thoughts internal while going with the flow of a free yoga session at Luminary Park. This class happens every third Thursday of the month with Yoga 4 Change — just bring your own mat + water.

For the introverts that still like to be out of their comfort zone — take a trip to Beer Spa. From beer soaks and infrared saunas to private rooms, this spot offers you some unique peace + you can invite your friends (if you want).

Tap into sightseeing rather than speaking

Art museums might be in the running for quietest places around, next to libraries. Spend a day at the Orlando Museum of Art by taking in its current exhibit “Relationships: A Love for Collecting.”

If you like the idea of seeing people that won’t talk your ear off, head to Madame Tussauds Orlando, where you can get up close to celebrities and figures made entirely of wax.
