H Mart has come to the Sunshine State. The supermarket’s first Florida store is now open on West Colonial Drive in Orlando.

If you plan on making a trip, we recommend you arrive hungry. H Mart specializes in Asian cuisine, offering fresh produce, snacks, and pre-packaged foods, but you’ll definitely want to visit the food hall. There, you’ll find vendors selling dishes like Korean barbecue, noodles, and corn dogs.

Many H Mart shoppers discover new favorites in the store. While everyone’s palate is different, we’ve heard great things about the Kewpie mayo, MAMA shrimp instant noodles, and the selection of Kit Kats.

News Notes

Civic

Winter Park adopted a 7.44% “nonfuel charge” that will be applied to residents’ electric bills. The fee will help the city achieve its goal of putting all power lines underground by 2030. While this charge could increase bills, fuel costs have also declined, which will lessen the immediate financial impact to customers. (Orlando Sentinel)

Tech

Epic Theaters is implementing technology to bring movies into another dimension. The company will start adding 4D E-Motion experiences into some of its theaters in November, offering multi-sensory effects. The chain has 11 Florida locations, including cinemas in Orlando + Clermont. (Orlando Business Journal)

Taylor Swift is making a lot of bread. The showgirl revealed she likes to mix Funfetti into her sourdough, so Pillsbury joined the party and released a limited-edition Funfetti sourdough mix. Or, you can create your own sourdough fun by grabbing a loaf at a local bakery. (TODAY)

Watch

The Wrap

I’ll admit it, Taylor Swift releasing “The Life of a Showgirl” on Friday will be a highlight of my week. I might as well use this as an opportunity to visit a local music store — Park Ave CDs, I’ve got my eye on you.
