(Orlando Business Journal)

History

Eatonville Mayor Angie Gardner announced the town reached a deal to reclaim the 117-acre Hungerford School site. The Orange County School District acquired the property, which has historical significance for educating Black students in Central Florida, in 1951. He may live in a pineapple under the sea, but SpongeBob would never miss a chance to visit Orlando. Perhaps that’s why “The Pineapple-iest Pop-Up Tour” is stopping at the City Beautiful.

The animated sponge will be promoting Olipop’s limited-edition Pineapple Paradise flavor with an 11-city US tour. This will bring him to Orlando on Saturday, Nov. 1 + Sunday, Nov. 2.

The popup’s location has not yet been announced, but attendees will get free soda samples, will be able to play SpongeBob-themed games, and will have the chance to buy exclusive merch.

The Wrap

It’s the time of the year when weekends are for football and accompanying snacks. Apparently, Buffalo chicken wings are the most popular game day snack in Florida. If that made you hungry, we’ve heard great things about the options at Flyers Wings & Grill + Papa Bees Wings.
