Armando’s has shuttered its College Park location after a decade of business. The reason for the closure is unknown, but the Italian eatery’s locations in Winter Park and Lake Nona remain open. (Orlando Business Journal)
Development
A new housing development called Mariposa Grove is set to break ground soon in downtown Orlando. City officials have approved $10 million for the 12-story project, which will bring 138 affordable apartments for residents ages 55 and older. Construction is expected to be completed by summer 2028. Orlando Beer Festival will take over Festival Park on Saturday, Nov. 15. Expect tastings of 100+ boozy drinks, a vendor market, and a VIP area with yard games + complimentary bites. Ticket prices increase on Monday, Nov. 10, so you’d better hop to it.
