FIFA Club World Cup heads to the pitch in Orlando

The international football association has selected two local stadiums to host this year’s matches + we’re not goalkeeping the details.

FIFA will introduce its Club World Cup tournament this summer, bringing 32 of the world’s leading teams to the US for the first time — including right here in Orlando.

Kicking off on Saturday, June 14 + running through Sunday, July 13, this new competition will feature all six of the international confederations: AFC, CAF, Concacaf, CONMEBOL, OFC, and UEFA.

The format will include eight groups of four teams competing in single-game round-robin matches. The top two teams from each group will advance to a round of 16, with a single-match knockout to the final. There won’t be a third place playoff.

Camping World Stadium
This stadium has been around since 1936 + underwent a 90% redevelopment, a $200+ million investment, in 2014.

  • Tuesday, June 24 | 9 p.m. | Group D — Los Angeles FC/Club América vs. CR Flamengo
  • Thursday, June 26 | 3 p.m. | Group G — Juventus FC vs. Manchester City
  • Monday, June 30 | 9 p.m. | Round of 16 — Group G winners vs. Group H runners-up
  • Friday, July 4 | 3 p.m. | Quarter-final — Winner match 53 vs. Winner match 54

Inter & Co Stadium
This stadium is home pitch to the MLS outfit Orlando City + National Women’s Soccer League side Orlando Pride. Bonus: The 2022 Special Olympics USA Games Opening Ceremony also took place here.
