December is full of celebrations. Whether it’s for Hanukkah, Yule, Christmas, Kwanzaa, or New Year’s Eve, there’s a good chance you’re partying this month.

Before you ditch the decor, we’ve got to ask — do you know the dos and don’ts of recycling in Orlando? Here’s a refresher.

✅ Do recycle

After a quick clean, these materials are ready for recycling:
  • Flattened cardboard boxes
  • Plain paper like stationery, envelopes, newspapers, magazines, and catalogs
  • Washed and empty plastic containers
  • Bottles without any residue

🚫 Don’t recycle

Here’s what can’t go in your recycling bins:
  • Metallic or glittery materials like trimmings, wrapping paper, ribbons, and bows
  • Bubble wrap and plastic film
  • Styrofoam
  • Electronics and holiday lights
